Effects
Animals can be hidden, poisoned, slowed or resting, and most states last for a number of turns. These are the status effects and what they do to an animal.
Hidden
Hidden from the other teams in every game, not only fog games; revealed by an enemy within 2 tiles or a Parrot within 3. Attacking reveals it for a while.
Poison
Loses 1 hit point at the start of the turn of the team that poisoned it (once per round) for the shown number of rounds; ignores armor. A poisonous bite poisons even when it does no damage.
Burning
Burns armor first, then HP, each turn.
Soaked
Standing in water it cannot swim in: loses 1 hit point every turn until it gets out.
Slowed
Its next move is only 1 tile (water spray of the Elephant).
Resting
After an attack this animal rests in its next turn: it can neither attack nor move. Marked with a Z on the board.
Fortified
Tougher, but cannot move or attack.
Frozen
Cannot move.
Disarmed
Cannot attack.
Armor broken
Armor is lower for a few turns.
Shaken
Hits for less.
Inspired
Hits harder for a turn.
In a pit
Fell into a pit: 1 damage, and it cannot move for its next turn (heavy animals for two turns). It can still attack. Marked with a T on the board.
